The Caregiver You Didn’t
Plan to Be.

It’s hard. It’s meaningful. And it shouldn’t be a journey you take alone. Caregiver Compass brings listening, practical guidance, trusted resources, and manageable next steps together in one compassionate caregiving experience.

No AI experience is needed. Type or speak in your own words, and start with what is happening today.

You became a caregiver because someone you love needed you. Knowing what to do next isn’t always easy. Caregiver Compass offers clear, practical guidance, and Alma is there when you need help finding your next step. Caregiver Compass — because caregivers need care, too.

Support for what caregiving asks of you

One compassionate caregiving experience

Caregiver Compass helps you move from uncertainty to a manageable next step

Whether you’re trying to understand what is needed, make a difficult decision, prepare for a challenging situation, or find the right support, Caregiver Compass helps you work through what comes next—one step at a time.

Understand what I need

Make sense of what is happening and identify where you may need more knowledge, skills, time, support, health support, or resources.

Know what to do next

Turn an overwhelming situation into a practical, manageable next step based on what matters right now.

Prepare for difficult situations

Build confidence by learning, planning, and practising how you might handle challenging caregiving and family situations.

Find and follow through on help

Find relevant support, understand how to pursue it, and keep track of what you tried so you know what to do if the first option does not work.

Meet Alma

A compassionate caregiving companion who listens first

Alma helps you put what is happening into words, understand what may matter most, and find a practical next step without making you learn how to use an AI system first.

Talk normally

You do not need to know how AI works or write a special prompt. Tell Alma what is happening in your own words.

Type or speak

Use text when that is easier, or use Alma’s optional voice support when you would rather speak than type.

You stay in control

Caregiver Compass does not diagnose you, replace your clinician, or pretend to contact services for you. Information is only saved when a feature clearly tells you it will be saved or when you ask it to remember something.

Alma draws from Caregiver Compass’s governed caregiving knowledge and is designed to complement—not replace—healthcare and community professionals.

Your caregiving journey

From “I’m not sure what to do” to a next step you can act on

Caregiver Compass connects understanding, preparation, service navigation, and follow-through so the experience feels like one continuing journey rather than a collection of separate tools.

Why you can trust Caregiver Compass

Compassion is important. So are boundaries, privacy, and reliable guidance.

Caregiver Compass is being built as a governed caregiving platform, with clear limits on what AI should do and with caregiver control designed into the experience.

Caregiving-specific knowledge

Guidance is designed around real family caregiving needs rather than unrestricted general-purpose AI conversation.

Governed and reviewed content

Caregiver Compass uses governed caregiving content, defined review standards, and clear boundaries for what the platform should and should not do.

Privacy and caregiver control

Caregivers choose what they share, what they save, and which people they invite into their support circle.

Canada and U.S. orientation

Resource guidance is designed to account for regional differences instead of assuming that every caregiver has access to the same services.

Safety-aware boundaries

Caregiver Compass is designed to support caregiving decisions while recognizing when professional or emergency help belongs outside the platform.

Complements professional care

The platform helps caregivers prepare, understand, organize, and follow through. It does not replace clinicians, healthcare teams, or community professionals.

Built from caregiving experience

Caregiver Compass began with a simple conviction: caregivers need care, too.

Founder Joel Thomas developed Caregiver Compass from years of caregiving experience, caregiver coaching, and listening to families trying to carry responsibilities they never expected to have. The platform is designed around the practical question caregivers face again and again: “What do I do next?”

That experience continues to shape a product philosophy in which knowledge and compassion belong together: first help the caregiver feel heard, then help them find a practical way forward.

You don’t have to figure caregiving out alone.

Caregiver Compass is currently available through a free, phased preview for caregivers in Canada and the United States.
